Meet Our Guest Teachers

Through our programmes we provide the opportunity for participants to experience different types of activities that support long term condition managements and a holistic approach to wellbeing.

Specialist in their indivdiual provision, they bring passion and enthusiasm to our programmes, building on confidence through activity engagement and fun!

 

Alan Brown, AB Tai Chi
Tai Chi

Alan is a qualified teacher and keen practitioner of Tai Chi Chuan, originally a martial art and now practised for the health of mind and body.

An instructor with the global organisation The Tai Chi for Health Institute, he is qualified to teach group or individual classes for general well-being but also for specific health challenges like diabetes, arthritis, rehabilitation and seated programmes.

Nikki Fenwick
African drumming

Nikki started Tribal Vibes, in 2008, following 15 years’ working in roles supporting children, young people and families.

She now brings her love of music and rhythm and her knowledge and experience in community work to all ages and backgrounds, with an ethos of encouraging participation, fun, communication and empowerment.

Ian Malcolm 
Nordic walking

Ian is a Nordic walking instructor at British Nordic Walking.

Based in the National Forest, he works to help others maintain good health, fitness and wellbeing.

Roxanne Dinsdale
Belly dance

Roxanne has been a professional Middle Eastern dancer, snake charmer and fire eater for 35 years and is also a teacher and in-demand after dinner speaker.

She has been extensively featured in national newspapers and magazines, as well as on television and has worked in most major venues throughout the UK.

Michelle Spiby
Mindfulness teacher 

Michelle is the author of A Quantum Leap in a Lifetime, a spiritual autobiography.
An Oxford Cambridge RSA (OCR) accredited mindfulness coach and mentor, she works to help others step into their power and realise their creative potential.

She has worked with consultant psychiatrists, GPs and patients with mental health problems and has also taught the benefits of mindfulness to psychologists, nurses and practitioners in primary care.
